Ayomide Adeleye, the 200 Level Philosophy student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State, who kidnapped and killed Christianah Idowu, a 300 Level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), attended the same church with her.

Also, the suspect has been freshly accused of abducting and killing yet another lady in 2022.

According to report by Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), Adeleye and Idowu were members of the same church in Ogun State.

As a result of this connection, when Christianah left her home in Itaoluwo, Ikorodu, en route to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where she was undergoing industrial training, it was natural for her to take shelter in a family shop of the Adeleyes from the rain that suddenly began.

When the rain intensified, Adeleye reportedly invited Christianah into his home, which was nearby.

While she was there, Adeleye allegedly attempted to assault her, but she resisted, and he resorted to killing her.

After the murder, he reportedly contacted Christianah’s family, using her phone and demanded a ransom of N3 million, which was later negotiated down to N350,000.

It would seem that this was not the first time Adeleye did this, as a man has stepped forward to accuse Adeleye of being responsible for the disappearance of his close female friend in 2022.

The man, Olaoluwa, said his girlfriend disappeared from the same Itaoluwo area of Ikorodu and has not been seen till today.

Policemen from Zone Two, Lagos was involved in the investigation at the time and they were able to get the three accounts into which the money in the missing lady’s account was transferred.

He said he knew about this because he was picked up as a suspect because he was very close to the missing lady and was remanded in prison for a long time for the offence he knew nothing about.

Olaoluwa said the accounts names the money in the missing lady’s Opay account was transferred into are: Olamide Hammed, Ayomide Adeleye, and Olamide Tomiwa Opeyemi.

He wrote, “These are the names we found that the money was distributed to according to the victim’s Opay account… Please, ask him to provide the remaining people ooo”

Adeleye, who was apprehended by soldiers from 81 Division has now been handed over to the Lagos Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

Before his arrest, Adeleye pretended to be interested in searching for the missing Christianah and exchanged messages with her friends to inquire about the status of the case.

In an old tweet, he also made remarks suggesting that his parents had no idea who he really was.

In another old tweet, he responded to a question of picking between two doors, one leads to N10 million while the other would transport someone to the past.

Adeleye said he would love to be transported back to the past to correct a mistake that cost the life of his sister.

He is alleged to have killed the sister and his past girlfriend.
