Thousands of the top echelon of Iran’s military are calling on the Unites States, seeking to surrender to save their lives.
President Donald Trump, who made the disclosure in a pre-recorded video update in which he provided fresh details on the progress of the campaign, asserted that Iran’s senior military leadership has been effectively dismantled following sustained strikes carried out under what he described as Operation Epic Fury.
According to a report by TheCable on Monday, March 2, 2026, Trump said the Islamic Republic’s command structure is now largely non-functional, describing the development as a major setback for Tehran’s ability to coordinate military defenses.
Trump portrayed the ongoing offensive as a decisive response to what he called nuclear and regional threats posed by Iran.
The U.S. president further claimed that large numbers of Iranian military personnel have begun reaching out in search of surrender arrangements to save their lives. According to him, communications requesting full immunity from prosecution are arriving “by the thousands.”
He argued that the reported surge in surrender requests reflects declining morale within Iran’s armed forces, adding that a mix of sustained military pressure and promises of clemency is accelerating the breakdown of organized resistance.
Trump’s remarks come amid a multi-day aerial and precision-strike campaign that has reportedly produced casualties on both sides. The situation remains highly fluid, and independent verification of several battlefield claims, including leadership losses, has been limited.
He indicated that combat operations would continue at full intensity until key objectives — particularly the neutralization of Iran’s nuclear programme and long-range missile capabilities — are achieved. Trump estimated the intensified phase of the campaign could last four to five weeks, while acknowledging the possibility of further American casualties.
In his closing remarks, President Trump urged members of Iran’s military, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and national police units, to lay down their weapons in exchange for immunity, while also calling on Iranian citizens to take control of their country’s political future.
