Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade appeared to have publicly reconciled, putting an end to a years-long feud that began in 2018.
The rift originally ignited on social media when Alade posted a cryptic message seemingly criticizing female entertainers who “deceive their fans” by digitally enhancing their buttocks in photos.
Though no names were mentioned, the post arrived just hours after Savage had shared photos highlighting her curves, prompting a fiery response from Savage who warned, “don’t start a war you can’t finish”.
For years, the tension simmered, with Alade stating recently that she would “rather stay clear” of a collaboration with Savage to avoid “problems”.
However, the narrative took a new turn at ‘The Price of Being Her’ panel during Entertainment Week Africa 2025 in Lagos.

In a now-viral clip, Alade directly addressed Tiwa Savage from the stage, offering public praise and admiration.
“I honestly want you to know that those moments when you get rugged and do what you truly went to do, you are standing up for many females,” she said.
“Just continue to be you. You’re literally walking in strength.”
Visibly moved by the tribute, Tiwa Savage, in another video, became emotional, with her fellow singer stepping in to offer comfort. The two shared a warm hug as Alade jokingly offered to prepare pounded yam for Savage, who laughed and graciously accepted.
