Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, on Friday, killed six terrorists following an ambush against them along Buratai-Buni gari Road, Borno State.
The Defence Headquarters made this known on Sunday in Abuja in a statement by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba.
The Defence Headquarters said, however, that an Army Lieutenant died in the ambush while four other personnel were injured.

The injured personnel, he stated, were already receiving treatment.
The Defence Headquarters said the troops soon reinforced and pursued the terrorist to their hideout within the Timbuktu Triangle and neutralised six of them.
Recovered were five AK 47 rifles and 103 rounds of the 7.62mm special ammunition as the remaining terrorists ran in disarray.
The troops said they were still hunting for the other terrorists on the run.
