Reacting, in a post on his official X handle, Sani said the Nigerian government must not create space for the prisoners either now or in the future.
According to him, the US is free to send Nigerian prisoners in the country back home, but not Venezuelan nationals.
He wrote, “If the US wants to send Nigerian prisoners in US Jails back to Nigeria, that is ok and should be accepted. “We don’t want Venezuelan prisoners in our country and there should be no space for them now or in the future”.
