Ephesians 2:8 NLT
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”
What did God save you from? From eternal damnation. God saved you by His grace when you believed! What did you believe?
John 3:16 NLT
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
When you believe God saved you from perishing. Not when you act but when you believe.
Romans 4:4 KJV
“Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.”
If you work for your salvation, that is not grace. If you do anything to be saved, it cancels the idea of grace. If you work, then God owes you, this is debt.
Grace is giving to the person who deserves the wrath of God.
Kindness is not grace. When you give food to a hungry person, that is kindness. Grace is when someone hurts you so bad and that person is bleeding and instead of calling the police you pay for the person’s hospital bills.
Those who believe they don’t do and those who don’t do, believe.
Romans 11:6 KJV
“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise, grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise, work is no more work.”
It cannot be both. It can’t be works and grace. If you work for your salvation, then it is no more of grace.
Galatians 5:4 NLT
“For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.”
To fall from God’s grace is to fall into God’s judgement. You’ve been eliminated from Christ. It’s not fornication that makes God cut you off, it’s you working for your salvation.
Why does God hate people who work?
Galatians 2:19 NLT
For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So, I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God.”
When you try to keep up with the requirement of the law, you have been cut off from Christ.
Why does God hate those who work for their salvation like that?
Galatians 2:21 NLT
“I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.”
When you try to keep the law, you’re saying the death of Christ is not necessary. That person is treating the sacrifice of Jesus with disdain.
Matthew 23:33 NLT
“Snakes! Sons of vipers! How will you escape the judgment of hell?”
God was talking to the teachers or the law, the Pharisees. There is no way they will escape the judgment of God.
Genesis 6:8 KJV
“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”
The world was destroyed only Noah found grace and escaped the judgement of God. The grace of God is what saved Noah.
Ephesians 2:9 NLT
“Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
Salvation is not a reward for your good works. We are all saved by God’s grace alone.
Romans 4:1-2 NLT
“Abraham was, humanly speaking, the founder of our Jewish nation. What did he discover about being made right with God? If his good deeds had made him acceptable to God, he would have had something to boast about. But that was not God’s way.”
Romans 3:27 NLT
“Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith.”
You have Salvation not because you have done anything. You cannot boast in your own righteousness and strength. One is saved based on faith in God’s grace . Faith is the hand that receives everlasting life.
