In a June 11, 2014 edition of a British online publication, News Shopper, Nigeria’s celebrity musician, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley was one of those declared wanted by the Lewisham Police for an undisclosed incident.

Like Bob Marley sang in his hit track, ‘Coming in from the cold’, the biggest man you ever did see was just a baby, Naira Marley, who was then 19 years old, looked bruised in the mug shot distributed to the press.

The Lewisham Police had declared the men wanted for crimes ranging from robbery to sexual assault on a night bus.

The publication had asked readers who spotted the offenders or have information that could help officers track them down and bring them to justice to come forward with such information.

The police, however, warned members of the public not to approach the wanted men, (indicating that the wanted men could be dangerous) but to call Lewisham Police’s fugitive unit on 020 8284 8394 or Crime Stoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
