A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after offering a cash gift of $25,000 and a vehicle to veteran Nollywood actor, Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known as Papa Ajasco.

The gesture comes shortly after the actor opened up about his financial struggles, revealing that despite his fame from the popular comedy series Papa Ajasco & Company, he does not own a house or car.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the man expressed gratitude to the actor for making his childhood memorable.

“I bought this car for you with the sum of $25,000. You made me so happy. I enjoyed your movie,” he said while showcasing the vehicle intended as a gift.

The development has drawn widespread attention, with many Nigerians praising the man’s generosity and calling for more support for veteran entertainers. Papa Ajasco had earlier disclosed that his earnings have been limited due to the ownership of the character’s trademark by Wale Adenuga Productions, restricting his ability to fully benefit from the brand.
