The rains are here again. Please, do not just watch the rain fall – use it. This is one of the best seasons to plant something useful around your home. Plant vegetables. Plant pepper. Plant tomatoes. Plant scent leaves. Plant okro. Plant something your family can eat.
In times like these, every home should think seriously about food, health and simple self-reliance. Gardening is not merely for farmers anymore; it is becoming a necessary life skill for wise families. And please, do not say you have no land. Many productive gardens today are growing inside sacks, plastic buckets, old paint containers, broken basins and small spaces behind houses.

Some people even garden on balconies and corridors. What matters is not the size of the land but the willingness to begin. This rainy season, let us return to the soil a little. Let our children see plants growing again. Let families spend time together watering, planting and harvesting. Let retirees discover fresh purpose. Let young people learn that food does not begin in supermarkets.
