Psalm 24:7 KJV
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.”
It is a lifting up above every barrier for us.
The “gates” and “everlasting doors” represent obstructions — spiritual, emotional, physical, or situational walls that try to shut out God’s move in our lives. When we lift up our heads and invite the King of Glory in, we rise above fear, shame, limitation, and delay.
“For thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” — Psalm 3:3 KJV
Every shame in my life must be lifted because of what Christ has done.
“And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me.” — Psalm 27:6 KJV
The word enemy can mean obstruction, shame, limitation, or delay—anything that blocks your rising. But when God lifts your head, your glory begins to shine.
This word speaks to anyone bowed down by life’s trials, disappointments, or opposition.
The devil wants our heads bowed down in shame. His strategy has always been to keep God’s people bent under guilt, fear, and defeat—because a bowed head cannot see the light, cannot stand in confidence, and cannot lift up praise.
But God’s plan is the opposite — He is the Lifter of our heads.
The Devil’s Tactics:
*Manipulation
*Intimidation
*Domination
He uses:
*Condemnation for past sins,
*Fear of the future,
*Disappointment from failure,
*Weariness from battle.
He wants us to walk around heavy and bowed down — looking inward instead of upward.
“He was a murderer from the beginning… for there is no truth in him.” — John 8:44
The devil thrives when we forget who we are in Christ.
But hear the Word of the Lord:
“But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” — Psalm 3:3 KJV
“But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.” — Psalm 3:3 NLT
So today, lift up your head! Let every shame, fear, and barrier give way.
The King of Glory has come in —and your head shall be lifted above every enemy.
