A lecturer at the Kogi State Polytechnic, Mr. Anslem Ojodomo, on Thursday slumped and died during lectures.
It was learnt that the incident caused commotion in the lecture hall as students scampered.
A source said Ojodomo was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention but was later confirmed dead despite efforts by medical personnel to save his life.
Ojodomo’s demise comes a month after another lecturer in the institution, Dr. Barnabas Akuba, died shortly after completion of his PhD programme.
Like Akuba, Ojodomo was said to have just defended his PhD thesis before the unfortunate incident.
