First time I saw black soup was at an Edo wedding and I thought they were all not okay… I rejected the offer to try until I was told that rice was finished and that was the only thing left.

On today’s not so shocking but shocking discovery for some. Those who grew up in one part of Nigeria where Eba (garri) is only done with yellow garri, find it weird that someone else from another part of Nigeria is using white garri for Eba.
The idea that white garri is only for drinking is just as a result of you not being exposed enough to seeing things from other parts of Nigeria away from your home/environment/state what have you. It could also be that you have refused to have an open mind.
This is just a little touch on food experience in Nigeria, now imagine major culture differences in other aspect as well.
I could go on and on about so many things but that would make the post too lengthy.
Have an open mind to the possibilities of things. There’s so much to see in this country/world at large.
There’s beauty in diversity. You need to travel to see it.
It’s not weird. You are just new to it.
