After crushing over 147 militants in the recent operations, the Defence Headquarters believes the Nigeria military is capable and in good advantage of winning the war against the enemies of the society, reports page3news.com.ng

The Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba while briefing journalists in Abuja on Thursday urged the citizens to divulge credible intelligence that could enhance successful operation.

“We cannot be everywhere at the same time. Citizens are urged to note that, winning the war depends not only on the military, weapons and finances. It also largely depends on the people. Together we can make an extra ordinary difference in wiping out insecurity in our nation”, thus declared Major General Edward Buba.

“We are constantly assessing our actions, adjusting and amending our operations in order to annihilate terrorists across.

“Accordingly, troops are working decisively to kill the terrorists, stop the insecurity and ensure the safety of citizens across the country’, he stated.

General Buba was, however, emphatic when he said that the recently rejigged war in the operational system has begun to yield noticeable increase in the results achieved so far saying, “troops will sustain the renewed vigor and momentum till the desired result is archived”.

According to him, “the ongoing operations across in other parts of the country remains focused on defeating and killing the enemy wherever they are hiding. Indeed, we are in a better place today, than at any previous time.

“During the week under review, troops neutralised 147 and arrested 381 persons”.
