Wife of former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Beatrice, has been released from the United Kingdom’s prison and is back in Nigeria.
A reliable source confirmed her return on Wednesday.
Recall that the former Deputy Senate President, his wife, and Dr. Obinna Obeta were sentenced by a United Kingdom court over charges related to organ harvesting.
Senator Ekweremadu received a 10-year prison sentence, while Mrs. Ekweremadu was sentenced to five years.
A source who wants to remain anonymous, said that Beatrice, who was sentenced to five years in UK prison, returned to the country on Tuesday.
She is said to be currently in Abuja. It was gathered that there is jubilation currently going on in her family house in the Mpu community of Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.
