A former Commissioner for Information in Ekiti State, Barrister George Adegboyega Oguntuwase is dead. He was aged 67.
According to close family sources, Barrister Oguntuwase, who was also a past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), died on Thursday, November 20, 2025, during a brief illness.
The late Barrister Oguntuwase, a product of the Annunciation College, Ikere Ekiti and the University of Ife (where he bagged LLB in Law), was the Commissioner for Information in former Governor Fayose’s first term and Ekiti state PDP chairman in the former governor’s second coming as governor. He is survived by his wife, Bisi, his children and his siblings: Abayomi, Iyabode and Oladipo. His burial plans would be announced soon, according to the family.
