Regina Akume, wife of George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Blessing Onuh, daughter of David Mark, national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have secured the House of Representatives ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue state.
Akume, 71, won the APC primary election for the Gboko/Tarka federal constituency conducted on Saturday.
Onuh defeated three other aspirants in the Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency primary, while Ojotu Ojema won the APC ticket for the Apa/Agatu federal constituency.
Sabiu Mahuta, chairman of the national assembly primary election committee in Benue, announced the results on Sunday at the APC secretariat in Makurdi, the state capital.

Terfa Ikper won the Makurdi/Guma federal constituency ticket just as Gideon Inyom was declared the winner in the Buruku federal constituency, while Terhemba Nongo won the Gwer East/Gwer West federal constituency primary.
Kohol Iormem secured the APC ticket for the Kwande/Ushongo federal constituency.
Solomon Wombo emerged as the APC candidate for the Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo federal constituency, while Livinus Tsar won the Vandeikya/Konshisha federal constituency primary.
Peter Ogbodo secured the Oju/Obi federal constituency ticket, while Anthony Agom won the Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu federal constituency primary.
