Comrade Femi Awogboro, an aide to the immediate past Minister of Power and 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has said that gunmen who abducted the former minister’s sister, together with her twin sons on Wednesday in Ibadan were yet to make contact with the family.
He stated that the family is yet to hear anything from the abductors, saying update concerning yesterday’s incident so far is that security agencies are working hard to ensure the victims are released.
Recall that the Adelabu family, on Wednesday, confirmed abduction of his younger sister, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, alongside her twin sons, Peter and Paul.

The family said Mrs. John-Paul, aged 43, was reportedly abducted by armed gunmen at about 7:30 a.m. while on her way to drop her children at school in Ibadan. The abductors also forcefully took away her 12-year-old twin sons who were with her at the time of the incident.
Speaking on update on the incident, Awogboro stated that no contact from the kidnappers has been made for now.
He said, “We are still searching, security agencies are still on it and they have promised safe return of the victims.
