Not too long ago, I was telling a tiny bit of the story of my sojourn here in the US to a group of young people in Cinco Ranch, Texas.
I told them about my very early challenges in a strange land, and especially in the treacherous terrain where I do the work of Ministry, Inspiration, and Impact. When I was done talking, one of them asked me: “You didn’t have to go through all of that. This is too much. Why didn’t you just let it go?”
I looked him straight in the eye and said in part; “…before you throw in the towel and wave the white flag of surrender in any endeavor, always think about people who desperately want you to fail.
“There are many who pray that you fail, and many who are waiting for the time you will fall. If you surrender in failure, you have handed them success on a platter of gold. And forever, they will be happy”.
A man’s greatest error in life is when he makes his enemies happy at his own expense. This morning, I admonish that you hang tough to the tough assignment on hand. Heaven is not going to fall. You will sing a song of triumph; and then, your enemies will be hung in disgrace. I still believe this Godly admonition.
