Tinubu congratulates Lagos Deputy Gov Hamzat at 60

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to Lagos Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on his 60th birthday, describing him as an esteemed colleague and trusted friend.

In a special tribute by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu acknowledged Dr. Hamzat’s remarkable contributions to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria as a public servant.

“Dr. Hamzat’s technical expertise, forward-thinking leadership, and steadfast dedication to public service have been evident throughout his career,” Tinubu said.

Dr. Hamzat served as Commissioner for Science and Technology under Governors Tinubu and Fashola and has been Deputy Governor of Lagos since 2019.

Tinubu praised his innovative problem-solving approach, which played a crucial role in the socio-economic transformation of Lagos.

 “His leadership has set a benchmark for governance and infrastructure development that continues to serve as a model for public service across Nigeria,” the President noted.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tinubu described Hamzat as a man of great integrity, humility, and compassion.

“His dedication to the welfare of the citizenry and ability to inspire others have left an indelible mark on the state and nation,” he said.

On behalf of the nation, President Tinubu extended warmest congratulations and deepest appreciation to Dr. Hamzat, wishing him continued strength, good health, and fulfillment.
