Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian Southern Senators Forum (NSSF) have been condoling with the family, colleagues and friends of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah who died on Saturday in London.
While commiserating with friends and colleagues of the late Senator, the National Assembly, and the government and people of Anambra State over this sad loss, the president described Ubah as a renowned businessman and politician.
The President prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker, as well as for strength and comfort to his family.
The Nigerian Southern Senators Forum (NSSF), however, expressed shock over the demise of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, who was an active member of the forum.
The group praised his significant contributions to business, the legislature, Anambra state, and the nation.
In a statement by its chairman, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, the forum highlighted Ubah’s remarkable achievements in the business sector, noting how his entrepreneurial ventures positively impacted on the economy.
The forum commended his dedication and effectiveness as a legislator, where his efforts were instrumental in shaping policies and advancing the interests of his constituency and the nation at large.
It also applauded his unwavering commitment to the development of his beloved Anambra state, emphasising his role in various initiatives that brought progress and prosperity to the state and the southeast region.
Extending its deepest condolences to his family, friends, the people of Anambra State, the South East and indeed Nigeria, the forum noted that Senator Ubah’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
