Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has named Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane as the player he believes deserves to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
De Zerbi described the England captain as a complete footballer who can play in different positions on the pitch.
He made the statement ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday.
According to Fabrizio Romano, De Zerbi said, “Harry Kane deserves to win the Ballon d’Or in my view.”
The Tottenham manager added that Kane’s ability to play several roles makes him an outstanding player.
“He’s a 9, a 10, he’s a number 2, number 6, a total player,” he said.
Kane scored more than 70 goals for Bayern Munich and England last season, strengthening his case for the prestigious individual award.
However, he is expected to face strong competition from other leading players, including Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal.
