Key leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, including Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo) and Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), alongside members of the Board of Trustees and the National Executive Committee, held an emergency closed-door meeting in Abuja on Thursday following the Supreme Court judgment on the party’s leadership crisis.
The meeting was held at Bauchi House, Asokoro, Abuja.
The high-level meeting had in attendance members of the BoT, the National Assembly caucus, the National Executive Committee, National Caucus, state chairmen, and ex-officio members.
The Board of Trustees, led by its Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, had earlier announced its decision to take over the party’s affairs pending the constitution of a caretaker committee.
