Nigeria’s Super Eagles have earned $80,000 for scoring goals at the ongoing 2025 1XBET Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The bonus was part of the NFF’s effort to motivate the team and reward their attacking performance.
Players and coaching staff expressed their delight, saying the incentive boosted morale and encouraged them to maintain their high-scoring form throughout the tournament.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had promised the team $5,000 for each goal during the group stage. The team scored eight goals in three group matches against Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda, earning $40,000.
In the Round of 16 match against Mozambique, the Super Eagles scored four goals, earning another $40,000.
Nigeria will face Algeria in the quarter-final at Marrakesh Stadium on Saturday.
The team will travel from Fès to Marrakesh on Thursday.
